TRIP TODAY!

Today, my class went on a trip to the Metropolitan Opera House. We saw Eugene Onegin, which was an
pretty good opera. The plot was this: There are 2 teenage sisters.
One is quiet and shy (Tatiana), the other playful and energetic (Olga). A family friend, Levinski brings a neighbor, Eugene Onegin to the house of the 2 sisters. Tatiana falls in love with Eugene, and Levinski pronounces his love to Olga. They are a happy couple. That night, Tatiana writes a letter to Eugene, telling him that she loves him. In the morning, Eugene comes to the 2 sisters house and tells Tatiana  that if he were destined to marry, he would choose her as his bride, but he believes he is not destined to marry. He leaves, and Tatiana is heartbroken. At a dance, Eugene then dances with Olga, hurting Tatiana even more and angering Levinski. Levinski challenges Eugene to a duel, and Eugene accepts. The next day, they duel with guns, and Eugene kills Levinski with one shot... Tatiana runs off with a prince that she found out to be loving, and then Eugene comes back to her, saying now that he truly loves her. Not such a bad ending, but unfortunately, we didn't get to see the last act because we had to leave in order for the bus kids to go home :-( overall though, it was my favorite trip of the year:-)
